Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS di kelas VIIIE Semester I SMP Negeri 3 Semarapura tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 melalui penerapan model problem-based learning berbantuan evaluasi Quizizz. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas yang dirancang dalam dua siklus yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIIIE Semester I tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 yang berjumlah 30 orang. Objek penelitian adalah adalah hasil belajar IPS peserta didik setelah penerapan model proble based learning berbantuan media evaluasi Quizizz. Data penelitian adalah data hasil belajar yang diperoleh dengan tes tipe pilihan ganda dan dilakukan dengan bantuan media Quizizz. Data selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif. Penelitian dikatakan berhasil jika nilai rata-rata hasil belajar minimal 76 dengan ketuntasan klasikal minimal 85%. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar 79 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 77%, sedangkan untuk siklus II, nilai rata-rata hasil belajar IPS adalah 82 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 87%. Pada siklus II kriteria keberhasilan penelitan ini telah tercapai. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model problem based learning berbantuan evaluasi Quizizz dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS peserta didik di kelas VIIIE.

The aim of this study was to improve social science's learning outcomes in class VIIIE SMP Negeri 3 Semarapura for the first semester in academic year 2020/2021 through the application of problem based learning model assisted by Quizizz evaluation. This study used a classroom action research design which was carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were 30 students of class VIIIE SMP Negeri 3 Semarapura for the first semester in academic year 2020/2021. The object of this study were the learning outcomes of students after the application of problem based learning model assisted by Quizizz evaluation. Research data were learning outcomes data which was obtained by multiple-choice tests with the help of Quizizz media. The data were analyzed descriptively. The research was said to be successful if the average value of learning outcomes is minimum of 76 with minimum 85% classical completeness. The results in the first cycle obtained an average value of learning outcomes was 79 with 77% classical completeness, while for the second cycle, the average value of learning outcomes was 82 with 87% classical completeness. In the second cycle, the aim of this research has been achieved. The average value of student learning outcomes has increased from first cycle to second cycle. The results showed that the application of problem-based learning model assisted by Quizizz evaluation can improve the social science’s learning outcomes in class VIIIE.
