Pengembangan tanaman obat organik solusi pemulihan ekonomi Bali di desa wisata Mas Ubud

The phenomenon of global, national, and regional communities has felt the economic downturn during the pandemic Covid-19. Mas Village, Ubud District, Gianyar Regency, as one of the villages in Bali that only relies on tourism as a source of income, so that a solution is immediately needed for economic recovery in the village. The topography and condition of the village of Mas Ubud, it is very potential to develop organic medicinal plants. However, the community does not have the knowledge for that, so it needs assistance from academics who are competent in their fields. From this background, 3 main problems can be formulated with regard to organic medicinal plants, namely: types of medicinal plants, procedures for development and processing, and implementation of the development of organic medicinal plants. This study aims to provide knowledge to the community, so that they can generate income from organic medicinal agriculture. The research steps were as follows: (1) the researcher made observations about the potential of land and the readiness of the community for the development of organic medicinal plants; (2) researchers are directly involved in providing education on land management procedures, types of plants grown, cultivation procedures, and processing of organic medicinal plants; (3) the researcher provides a workshop on the processing of organic medicinal plants in the form of health and beauty ingredients (Spa products). The results of the research were: 1) knowledge of the types of organic medicinal plants, sambiloto, and Spa ingredients; 2) knowledge of the development and processing of organic medicinal plants as health, beauty, fitness and art products; 3) implications in the form of developing a creative economy, preparing a tourist park as a source of knowledge for education, and preserving local wisdom of traditional Usada medicine. Research findings: continuous innovation towards strengthening the local economy based on organic herbs to create Balinese Wellnes Tourism Desa Mas Ubud.
Fenomena masyarakat global, nasional, dan daerah sangat merasakan keterpurukan ekonomi selama pandemi Covid-19. Desa Mas Kecamatan Ubud Kabupaten Gianyar, sebagai salah satu desa di Bali yang hanya mengandalkan pariwisata sebagai sumber penghasilan, sehingga segera dibutuhkan solusi untuk pemulihan ekonomi di Desa tersebut. Topografi dan kondisi wilayah Desa Mas Ubud, sangat potensial dikembangkan tanaman obat organik. Namun demikian masyarakatnya tidak memiliki pengetahuan untuk itu, maka perlu pendampingan para akademisi yang berkompeten di bidangnya. Dari latar belakang tersebut maka dapat dirumuskan 3 permasalah utama berkenaan dengan tanaman obat organik, yaitu: jenis-jenis tanaman obat, tata cara pengembangan dan pengolahan, serta implementasi pengembangan tanaman obat organik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat, sehingga mampu menghasilkan pendapatan dari pertanian obat organik. Langkah-langkah penelitian yang dilakukan adalah sebagai berikut: (1) peneliti melakukan observasi tentang potensi lahan dan kesiapan masyarakat untuk pengembangan tanaman obat organik; (2) peneliti terlibat langsung memberikan edukasi tentang tatacara pengolahan lahan, jenis-jenis tanaman yang ditanam, tatacara budidaya, dan pengolahan tanaman obat organik; (3) peneliti memberikan workshop pengolahan tanaman obat organik berupa ramuan kesehatan dan kecantikan (produk Spa). Hasil penelitian berupa: 1) pengetahuan jenis-jenis tanaman obat organik temu-temuan, sambiloto, tanaman bahan Spa; 2) pengetahuan pengembangan dan pengolahan tanaman obat organik sebagai produk kesehatan, kecantikan, kebugaran, dan seni; 3) implikasi berupa pengembangan ekonomi kreatif, menyiapkan taman wisata sebagai sumber pengetahuan untuk edukasi, dan pelestarian kearifan lokal pengobatan tradisional usada. Temuan penelitian: inovasi secara berkelanjutan terhadap penguatan ekonomi lokal berbasis herbal organik untuk mewujudkan Balinese Wellnes Tourism Desa Mas Ubud.
