Abstract

Deep learning in the context of education refers to a learning approach that emphasizes deep,
reflective, and meaningful understanding of the material, rather than mere memorization or
reproduction of information. This study aims to examine the integration of the deep learning
approach with differentiated instruction, which is tailored to the needs, abilities, and learning
styles of students. By integrating deep learning, instruction not only encourages students to
understand concepts conceptually but also fosters critical, analytical, and creative thinking
skills. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing various theories and
practices of deep learning and differentiated instruction. Thus, this integration becomes a
relevant strategy to address the challenges of 21st-century education, which demands
learning that is personal, reflective, and transformative.
