Abstract

Abstract. Local wisdom that exists in a region is a treasure that has a high value to improve the welfare of the lives of its people and can enrich the culture of the archipelago. The culture of a tribe or ethnic in the region, such as: the use of Girang-Girang plant leaves (Leea indica) in an art performance in Bali is very popular. The use of Girang-Girang plant has a philosophical value, so it has become a guideline (a tradition in which contains belief values that should be implemented) in artistic activities. This local wisdom needs to be socialized and developed in the world of education and used as a source of learning so that the meaning and benefits are known, and to be preserved and developed economically in the form of bioentrepreneurship. This research aims to make students and the community understand the great value of the local wisdom of Girang-Girang (Leea indica) plants in the area where they live.
