Curriculum transformation requires a shift in learning orientation from merely delivering subject matter to developing critical, creative, collaborative, and reflective thinking skills. Deep learning emerges as a relevant approach to address these challenges while strengthening the implementation of transformative curriculum in schools. This community service program was carried out at SMPN 1 Tambolaka on August 8–9, 2025, involving 68 participants consisting of teachers, staff, and the principal. The main objective of the program was to enhance educators’ capacity to design contextual deep learning practices based on local wisdom, as well as to introduce the use of artificial intelligence as a supporting tool in lesson planning. The methods applied included interactive lectures, workshops, group discussions, and hands-on practice in developing a one-semester lesson plan with the assistance of ChatGPT. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of deep learning concepts, their ability to design lesson plans integrated with local wisdom, and their readiness to utilize AI in supporting teaching innovation. The active involvement of the principal further strengthened the commitment to implementing the program within the school environment. Overall, this activity successfully encouraged the readiness of teachers and school stakeholders in carrying out sustainable curriculum transformation.
