Abstract

Balinese, as a regional language rich in cultural value, faces serious challenges in the era of globalisation, especially in the context of formal education. The younger generation's interest in learning and using Balinese tends to decline, while conventional teaching methods are unable to meet the expected learning needs. On the other hand, developments in information and communication technology (ICT) have opened up new opportunities for innovation in classroom management designs that are more interactive, adaptive, and learner-centred. This study aims to formulate a conceptual design for Balinese language classroom management based on information and communication technology by integrating classroom management theory and language learning approaches. Classroom management is a process planned by teachers to create and maintain optimal classroom conditions so that the teaching and learning process runs smoothly and effectively and learning objectives are achieved. Through literature review and conceptual analysis, this study highlights the importance of integrating pedagogical strategies with the use of digital media, such as online quiz applications, virtual discussion forums, and Balinese audiovisual content. The results of the study produced a conceptual framework that places teacher competence, school policy support, and the availability of ICT facilities as input factors for ICT-based interactive classroom management strategies as a process, as well as increasing student engagement, learning effectiveness, and cultural preservation as outputs. This study is expected to contribute to the development of technology-based classroom management theory, provide practical alternative solutions for teachers, and serve as a reference in formulating Balinese language classroom management education policies for teachers.
