Abstract

This study aims to improve the career readiness of Grade X.1 students at SMA Negeri 9 Denpasar in the 2024/2025 academic year through classical guidance services using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method. The issue addressed is the low level of career readiness, indicated by students’ confusion in choosing a career path, lack of information about the world of work and further education, and low confidence in planning their future. This is a Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) involving 35 students (14 males and 21 females). Initial observations showed an average career readiness score of 50% (moderately high category). After the first cycle of intervention, the score increased to 54%, although two students were still in the low category. A second cycle was conducted, resulting in an increased average score of 61% (high category). These results indicate that the application of the PBL method in classical guidance services is effective in enhancing students’ career readiness.
