Abstract

The implementation of the independent curriculum is applied to develop the character and competence of students through the Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles (P5). The existence of a curriculum has an impact on the mechanism of the learning process, so that teachers have an important role in developing students' soft skills. Apart from teachers, students also need help from outsiders, namely peers, because at school students interact more, exchange ideas and solve problems with peers. So the purpose of this study is the implementation of peer guidance to increase student learning interest in implementing the independent curriculum in class X.11 SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi in 2023. This research is of a quantitative type using questionnaires, interviews and observations as a data collection tool. Taking 5 research subjects who have low learning interest. After being given guidance in cycle I and cycle II, significant results were obtained, where there was an increase in learning interest from pre-cycle 57.5% to 66.5% in cycle I and improvements were made in cycle II to obtain an increase of 11% to 77.5%. . So it can be concluded that peer guidance can increase student learning interest in implementing the independent curriculum in class X.11 SMA Negeri 2 Mengwi in 2023
