Abstract

Statistik deskriptif merupakan metode analisis data yang penting untuk menggambarkan dan menganalisis karakteristik utama data secara sistematis. Namun penerapannya seringkali menghadapi tantangan yang berpotensi mengurangi validitas hasil penelitian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan panduan praktis penerapan statistik deskriptif dalam penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi pustaka untuk menganalisis literatur akademik untuk mengidentifikasi langkah-langkah utama dalam penerapan statistik deskriptif, termasuk persiapan data, pengolahan, analisis, visualisasi, dan interpretasi hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa statistik deskriptif memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan validitas dan kredibilitas penelitian baik dalam eksplorasi awal maupun untuk mendukung analisis inferensial. Panduan praktis yang dirancang membantu peneliti menghindari kesalahan umum dan memberikan langkah-langkah yang sistematis untuk memastikan analisis yang akurat. Ini dapat membantu peneliti dari berbagai bidang untuk mengingkatkan kualitas analisis data penelitian.
